Hong Kong 27 Sep-2 Oct 2013 then back to Adelaide

After another longggg 13 hour flight from Rome to Hong Kong on a terribly old plane with Cathay, we finally made it out of the airport around 6.30am... to our loyal red taxi, back to Langham Place Hotel in Mong Kok...

Once again, we stayed in a Studio Club Place (as we did on the way over). This was the only style of room we hadn't stayed in at Langham before this trip... we wanted the 90 degree view to look out over Hong Kong while we recovered from jetlag. I had recently extended our stay here from 3 to 5 nights (6 days)... we always seem to extend our stays here. It's like our second home :)

Our free Club laundry service - how perfect!!

The Club L Lounge at Langham Place Hotel...

Ming Court dim sum lunch (2 Michelin star restaurant at the hotel we always go to!!)...

Although we didn't do much on our "jetlag leg" of the trip, we did manage to get over to Hong Kong Island on the old-fashioned Star Ferry and indulge in WAFFLES - a huge favourite in Hong Kong. We love the Green Waffle Diner...

Although we don't take many photos in Hong Kong anymore, given we've been there so many times, here are a few from around Kowloon and Mong Kok (the area around the hotel). It still retains it's Chinese feel despite the 5 start hotel in the middle of the suburb!!!

Home to Adelaide on the morning of the 3 Oct 2013 - I picked up Basty that very night while Nick went to work. I think Mary and David had done a fabulous job caring for her, but I also think they were glad to have their house back from this little terror (and thanks to a mothering Mary, Basty had put on quite a lot of weight!). But look at her here... she still looks so kitten like, jumping in all our travel bags including this beach bag we brought home from Hotel Palazzo Murat :)
