Leaving Adelaide for 25 Days Overseas...

Given we were due to leave for our trip on Mon 9 September 2013, we had to drop our baby kitten off for baby-sitting on the Saturday (it hurt because she was due to turn 6 months old on the Monday and we wouldn't see her). She was staying at Mary and David's house, just up the road from our house. I took along all of her things and she was such a good girl. She seems to really like Mary and David and their huge house - she's been there before on a play date already :) I know she'll be fine, but going home and spending Saturday night alone (with Nick at work) was dreadful... I can physically sense when she's not in the house. It's a terribly lonely feeling. I hope it gets easier to leave her over time... 

Here's Bubastis at almost 6 months old... Isn't she just beautiful. We knew we'd really miss you baby girl :(

One more thing before you read ahead - this is the first time I've written a blog, and at times I was bored so my writing gets very lazy (oh, and be prepared for LOTS of photos of food - for some odd reason, for people who don't consider themselves "foodies", our holidays seem to revolve a lot around eating!). Just look at the photos if you want... that's what I'm doing this for, to share photos!!!
